About me

I am a PhD student in Statistics, at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Alejandro C. Frery. I am currently a Visiting Scholar in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

My main research interests are image processing and analysis, mainly focused on SAR/PolSAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar/Polarimetric SAR) images. My current research uses a statistical approach in the fusion of edge evidences.

My work is generously supported in part by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - Brazil (CAPES) and the Fundação de Amparo à Ciência e Tecnologia do Estado de Pernambuco (FACEPE).
